Meet the Subject Matter Experts 


Joe Vigorito

 Joe Vigorito is the Director of Mobility & Security at Annese. With over 30 years experience, Joe's credentials include being both a Fellow and Diplomate for the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, a certified in Disaster Preparedness and National Threat Analyst, a member of Building Industry Consulting Services International, the Information Systems Security Association and the Information Systems Audit and Control Organization. Joe is a former Fortune 250 HIPAA Security Officer, as well as CISO and Chief Privacy Officer, and while working currently for Annese, Joe is also a Homeland Security Emergency Manager.


Michael Hommer

Mike has been in the IT industry for over 20 years covering a broad spectrum of networking and infrastructure solutions. He joined NetApp in 2008 and most recently was an Enterprise SE in the New Jersey District. Prior to NetApp, Mike worked for consulting firms designing and deploying data centers around the globe such as Tokyo, Frankfurt and London. He also managed a network equipment testing lab where he put the latest gear from Cisco, HP, Juniper and other vendors through their paces for magazine and private reviews. 


Dave Gervon
Cisco Meraki

Dave has been in the technology industry for over 10 years. During this time he has had a range of positions at a reseller including marketing, sales and project management, and now Channel Management at Cisco Meraki. Dave brings knowledge and enthusiasm to every conversation and presentation while educating his audience. He is an expert in the field of cloud managed enterprise and holds a B.A. in Communications with a minor in Computer Science and an M.A. in Strategic Communications.

Brandon Gruttadauria
Ingram Micro

Brandon is a VMware Northeast Territory Technology Consultant with Ingram Micro, and has extensive experience in designing and securing data center and vertical market specific solutions, including: server/storage/networking datacenter infrastructure; software-defined & virtualization solutions; cloud and on-premise hosted agile infrastructures; enterprise mobility and endpoint management solutions. Brandon has over 10 years’ experience consulting partners and their end-users on how to optimize and secure their data center and intellectual capital, and holds dozens of industry-standard certifications. 


Rus Healy

Chief Technology Architect at Annese, Rus holds a number of technical certifications in routing and switching, data center, and cloud technologies. Rus is a 10-year Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), a 10-year Annese employee, and a published author. Gonen Stein

Gonen Stein, CloudEndure's VP of Business Development, comes with over 15 years of experience providing IT solutions to Fortune 500 companies and forming strategic alliances with world-class technology and service providers. He is a dynamic speaker who is able to delve deeply into technology issues while integrating business and financial considerations. Prior to joining CloudEndure, Gonen held strategic roles at Safend, Wave Systems, and CTERA Networks. His areas of expertise include cloud computing, storage, workload migration, business continuity and enterprise security.


Tom Gdula

Tom is the Director of the Data Center Virtualization practice at Annese. Tom joined Annese in early 2012 as a Data Center Engineer and quickly evolved to lead the practice later that year. Tom’s prior experience included serving as a Project Manager with NYSTEC; he also held the positions of Designated Support Engineer, pre-sales Systems Engineer, Technology Specialist, and Account Executive with Novell.

A native of Central New York, Tom holds a Bachelors degree in Management and Information Technology from SUNY Geneseo, and has taught Undergraduate and Graduate courses at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. Tom is PMP certified and holds several manufacturer certifications from VMware, SUSE, Novell, NetApp, and Dell EMC, among others.


Dan Didier

Entrepreneur, speaker, founder of NetSecureIA, and Vice President of Services for GreyCastle Security, Dan (MSIA, CCSP, TSS)  has nearly 16 years of security experience in a wide range of industries including critical infrastructure, finance, healthcare, manufacturing and other prominent industries, Dan brings extensive expertise as a technical security engineer and business-focused risk manager.

Dan's unique background allows him to bridge the gap between people, process and technology and adapt to the unique cybersecurity challenges that organizations face today.


Reg Harnish
GreyCastle Security

 With nearly two decades of experience practicing cybersecurity, Reg brings a thought-provoking perspective to the industry that has earned him many prestigious recognitions, including fellowship at the National Cybersecurity Institute and the designation of Cybersecurity Consultant of the Year in North America for 2017.

Reg is a nationally-recognized speaker, published author, and has presented at countless industry and security events for organizations including Security BSides, ISSA, ISC2, ISACA, InfraGard and many others.

Scott Plamondon

Scott is a Cloud Solutions Architect at Annese and is based in Albany, NY. He has seven years of experience in the information systems field and has done work for a number of sectors including government, finance, technology, department of defense, and education. When he's not experimenting with new technologies (like Augmented/Virtual Reality!), you can find Scott high up in the mountains snowboarding all over the globe or brewing his own beer. 



Jason Boyers

Jason is a Senior Systems Engineer for Mobility & Security at Annese and is based out of Rochester, NY. Jason has more than 16 years of IT experience, beginning his career at IBM. He has been with Annese since 2003, taking a lead role in installation, troubleshooting, and support. Jason enjoys playing music with his family of instrumentalists and singers. His certifications include: CCIE Wireless, CCNP Security, Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), and CISSP.


Jason Forcht

Jason is a Security Systems Engineer with FireEye. Over his three year tenure, he has helped protect his client accounts from today's most sophisticated, intrusive and targeted threats. He has been focused on information security for 10 years with previous positions held at Symantec, Siemens, and Saint Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan. He has been a certified Microsoft Instructor since 1996 and was one of the first SharePoint instructors.


Mike McGuire

Mike is the Cloud Business Development Specialist at Annese, based in Albany. His role is to enable client innovation through cloud solutions. A seasoned IT professional, Mike is a graduate of SUNY Albany and began his career with IBM before founding his own software consulting firm, which provided solutions to the State/Local Government and Public Safety Agencies. Mike's certifications include: AWS Business Professional, AWS Technical Professional, and AWS TCO & Cloud Economics.


Garrett Raymond

Garrett is a Data Center Solutions Architect at Annese and is based in Syracuse, NY. He has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Computer Science from SUNY Fredonia and holds a VMware VCA-DCP certificate. Garrett brings significant experience in the areas of backup and recovery, VMware operations, storage optimization, and host configuration in both the financial and education space.


Mike Hurley

Mike is a Senior Solutions Architect on the Mobility & Security team who started working in IT at the age of 15. A world traveler, Mike visited Iceland and Russia before settling down and becoming a dad. Now, he can be found biking or doing yard work in his spare time. Mike’s certifications are: CCIE Collaboration and Certification Information Systems Security Professional (ISC)2.


Jim Kennedy

Jim is the Business Development Specialist at Annese focusing on Mobility & Security. He has achieved several key certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware and NetApp, and has accrued a wealth of industry knowledge with more than 24 years of experience working in IT in legal publishing, insurance, SaaS, and technology partners. Jim is a graduate of Siena College and is based in Albany, NY.  In Jim’s free time, he enjoys boating and hiking with his girls and working out.


Scott Dion

Scott is a Solutions Architect on the Collaboration team and is based in Albany. Scott has been with Annese since 2006 and is a past recipient of the company's highest recognition—the Frank J. Annese Award for Customer Excellence. In his free time, Scott enjoys being on the water and camping in the summer with his wife and two daughters. Scott’s certifications are: CCDA, Cisco Unity Design & Networking, TelePresence Express, and UCCX Specialist.


Phil Spitze

Phil is a Cloud Solutions Architect at Annese and is based in Syracuse, NY. He has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Training from Keene State College and a master's in Buddhist Studies from the International Buddhist College in Thailand. In his spare time, Phil is a nature photographer and photography instructor. 

Sean Collins- Riverbed

Sean Collins

As a Technical Channel Manager for Riverbed, Sean is responsible for enabling Riverbed Partners to become technically fluent on the Riverbed solutions.  He plays a key role in working with our partners to extend the technical reach of Riverbed solutions to the end customers.  Sean has spent many years in a customer support role supporting partners and end customers before moving into a technical sales and technical channel roles.   Sean has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry working with different vendors including Brocade, Cisco, Avaya and Alcatel.


Blake Maras

Blake is an Associate Data Center Solutions Architect at Annese and is based in the Buffalo office.  Blake currently specializes in rack infrastructure such as racks, cabling, cable management, cooling and UPS power solutions.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management and holds certifications from VMware, Microsoft, NetApp, APC, and Comptia.  Blake enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, studying business, and reading biographies of entrepreneurs. He has been known to tinker with computers in his off-time, play jazz piano, and enjoys model railroading and brewing craft beers.


Jason Beiter

Jason is the Enterprise Solutions Architect at Annese and assists in the presales process, presenting all technical concepts and deliverables to Annese’s larger enterprise customers. In his spare time Jason enjoys playing video games, and even met his wife online while playing World of Warcraft.


Ryan Gebauer

Ryan Gebauer is a Collaboration Associate Solutions Architect at Annese and is based in the company’s Amherst office. Ryan is a graduate of ITT Tech in Getzville, NY earning a degree in Multimedia studies. His career in the IT industry began at Ingram Micro in 2007 where he spent the next 8 years as a datacenter and infrastructure presale architect. Ryan enjoys working with customers to design and build the latest Collaboration solutions to meet the needs of their business. When he’s not at work, Ryan enjoys playing golf, tennis and spending time with his wife and two boys.

Steve Hailstone

Steve is a Data Center Systems Engineer at Annese based in Rochester, NY, with experience in all areas of the data center with a focus on data center networking. Steve's list of certifications is vast, spaning Cisco, NetApp, VMware, and Dell. Currently, Steve is  pursuing his Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Data Center certification. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking and spending time with family and friends.

Paul Fletcher
Alert Logic

Paul is a Security Evangelist at Alert Logic with over 20 years of experience in IT and security. Prior to joining Alert Logic, Fletcher advised executive level leadership in the energy, retail, and financial sectors regarding emerging security threats and mitigation strategies. Additionally, he has worked with Fortune 50 organizations, the Department of Defense, and critical infrastructure organizations to implement risk management plans and security solution designs.


Paul Centanni

Paul is a Senior Solutions Architect of the Mobility and Security practice at Annese and Associates in the Albany area.  Paul has a Bachelor of Science in Optics from the University of Rochester.  Paul is a seasoned network professional who brings experience in the areas of network infrastructure, wireless, and security.  Before joining Annese Paul worked on the early Internet then as a consultant providing enterprise level professional services.  Paul currently has a CISSP certification along with some Cisco professional level certifications.  In his personal time Paul enjoys spending time with his family and hiking.


Steve Leeper

Steve is a Systems Engineer for Mobility & Security at Annese and is based in Albany, NY. With nearly 10 years of experience in IT , Steve's knowledge includes wireless and security work in healthcare, higher education, and emergency services. 


Scott Herman

Scott Herman has 30 years in the IT industry, predominately in Channel Leadership roles.  An early acquisition of his company by Cisco Systems in 1994 Scott helped to start their reseller program in the Eastern United States, followed by key positions within McAfee and Avaya in their  Channel Management organizations.  Scott is an MBA graduate from Drexel University and lives with his wife and 2 children in New Jersey.


Peter Ritter

Peter Ritter is the Northeast Channel Sales Engineer for Cylance with more than 20 years’ experience providing information security solutions to enterprises. Over the past 10 years, Peter has worked in collaboration with global enterprise security organizations to identify key technologies and operational improvements to address their security needs and compliance requirements. He has led organizations into strategic partnerships with innovative technology companies to mitigate risk to their security posture. Peter’s specialty most recently is focused on helping information security teams better protect their endpoints and simplifying their endpoint strategy.
